The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n* Is the presence of HGM associated with dysphagia?\n* Is the presence of HGM associated with dyspepsia and reduced health-related quality of life? Among participants reporting dysphagia, what is the distribution of oropharyngeal versus esophageal dysphagia, and is this related to the presence of HGM? If there is a comparison group: Researchers will compare participants with endoscopically confirmed HGM to participants without HGM to determine whether dysphagia, dyspepsia symptoms, and quality-of-life measures differ between groups.\n\nParticipants will:\n\nComplete pseudonymised questionnaires about dysphagia, dyspepsia symptoms, and quality of life before the gastroscopy.\n\nUndergo the medically indicated gastroscopy as planned; the endoscopist will assess whether HGM is present based on the endoscopic appearance, and routine endoscopy findings will be documented.",[63,64,65,66],"Heterotopic Gastric Mucosa of the Proximal Esophagus","Gastric Inlet Patches","Dysphagia","Dyspepsia",[68,69,70,71,72,73,74,75,76,77,78,79],"Cervical Esophagus","Proximal Esophagus","Upper Endoscopy","Oropharyngeal Dysphagia","Eophageal Dysphagia","Sidney Swallowing Questionnaire","EAT-10","MDADI","GSRS","QOLRAD","Narrow Band Imaging","Quality of Life","2026-04-09",{"date":82,"type":83},"2026-04-14","ACTUAL",{"date":85,"type":83},"2026-03-24",{"date":87,"type":59},"2027-07",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
