This setup allows for an initial measurement of the patient's maximum tongue strength and endurance, which helps establish goals that are specific to each patient. The device connects to a mobile application that provides visual biofeedback, ensuring consistent monitoring as the patient completes exercises using the tongue bulb for resistance. Once the patient's goals are set based on their initial measurements, the app offers two exercise modules designed to improve both tongue strength and endurance.",[14],[25],{"name":26,"affiliation":27,"role":28},"Jamie Ku, MD, FACS","Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cleveland Clinic","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[30],{"name":26,"role":31,"phone":32,"phoneExt":12,"email":33},"CONTACT","(216) 445-6594","kuj@ccf.org",[35],{"facility":36,"status":37,"city":38,"state":39,"zip":40,"country":41,"countryCode":42,"cosmosGeoPoint":43,"geoPoint":48,"contacts":49},"Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cleveland Clinic Foundation","RECRUITING","Cleveland","Ohio","44195","United States","US",{"type":44,"coordinates":45},"Point",[46,47],-81.69541,41.4995,{"lat":47,"lon":46},[50],{"name":26,"role":31,"phone":51,"phoneExt":12,"email":33},"216-445-6594",{"type":53,"investigatorFullName":12,"investigatorTitle":12,"investigatorAffiliation":12,"oldNameTitle":12,"oldOrganization":12},"SPONSOR","100601411",false,"NCT07110142","Tongue Proactive Strengthening Exercise Program Following Partial\u002FHemi Glossectomy and Reconstruction","Impact of Tongue Proactive Strengthening Exercise Program on Speech and Swallowing Outcomes Following Partial\u002FHemiglossectomy and Reconstruction","T-PROSE","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n1. ≥18 years of age\n2. Patients who undergo partial or hemiglossectomy often experience difficulties with speech and swallowing, which can significantly impact their quality of life. While speech and swallow therapy is typically provided in response to problems, this study investigates whether introducing structured tongue strengthening exercises with biofeedback early-can lead to better long-term outcomes. This research will help establish whether this approach should become part of standard post-operative care.",[71,72],"Oral Cancer","Head and Neck Cancer",[74,75,21],"Speech-Language Pathology","Hemiglossectomy","2026-06-23",{"date":78,"type":79},"2026-06-25","ACTUAL",{"date":81,"type":79},"2025-12-10",{"date":83,"type":65},"2029-06",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
