Within admission assessment, patients will be classified according to stroke type, stroke localisation and time since stroke. Comorbidities will be recorded and associated neurological deficits will be assessed. Post mictional residue will be determined in all patients one day after admission. The patients with urinary disorders will be treated according to the published official protocol, either using the immediate urination approach or the bladder diary approach. Continence will be regularly assessed by the nursing staff. Urination-disorder-related complications (pressure ulcers, falls and urinary infections), drug therapy and the use of continence aids will also be followed.","Subacute patients after ischaemic or hemorrhagic stroke directly transferred from an acute hospital to complex inpatient rehabilitation",[24,27],{"label":25,"type":17,"description":26,"interventionNames":17},"Without urinary disorders","Subacute stroke patients without urinary disorders",{"label":28,"type":17,"description":29,"interventionNames":30},"With urinary disorders","Subacute stroke patients with urinary disorders",[31,32],"Behavioral: Immediate urination","Behavioral: Bladder diary",[34,39],{"type":35,"name":36,"description":37,"armGroupLabels":38,"otherNames":17},"BEHAVIORAL","Immediate urination","Patients with decreased cognitive ability will be taught to immediately go to the toilet upon feeling the urge to urinate and to be independent in urinating.",[28],{"type":35,"name":40,"description":41,"armGroupLabels":42,"otherNames":17},"Bladder diary","Patients with normal cognitive abilities will be instructed to go to the toilet every 2-3 hours regardless of the urge to urinate",[28],[44],{"name":45,"affiliation":5,"role":46},"Nataša Bizovičar, MD, PhD","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[48,53],{"name":49,"role":50,"phone":51,"phoneExt":17,"email":52},"Helena Burger, MD, PhD","CONTACT","+386 1 4758440","helena.burger@ir-rs.si",{"name":45,"role":50,"phone":54,"phoneExt":17,"email":55},"+386 1 4758361","natasa.bizovicar@ir-rs.si",[57],{"facility":5,"status":58,"city":59,"state":17,"zip":60,"country":61,"countryCode":62,"cosmosGeoPoint":63,"geoPoint":68,"contacts":69},"RECRUITING","Ljubljana","1000","Slovenia","SI",{"type":64,"coordinates":65},"Point",[66,67],14.50513,46.05108,{"lat":67,"lon":66},[70,71],{"name":49,"role":50,"phone":51,"phoneExt":17,"email":52},{"name":45,"role":50,"phone":72,"phoneExt":17,"email":55},"+386 1 4758351",{"type":74,"investigatorFullName":17,"investigatorTitle":17,"investigatorAffiliation":17,"oldNameTitle":17,"oldOrganization":17},"SPONSOR","100368519",false,"NCT04078373","Urinary Disorders in Subacute Patients After Stroke","Assessment and Treatment of Urinary Disorders in Patients in the Subacute Phase After Stroke","UIMK","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* subacute patients after ischaemic or hemorrhagic stroke;\n* direct transfer from acute hospital to complex inpatient rehabilitation at our Institute.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* incontinence before stroke;\n* previous brain injury or other brain disease;\n* previous bladder or prostate surgery;\n* inability to ambulate before stroke;\n* terminal disease with expected survival less than three months.","ALL",{"count":84,"type":85},250,"ESTIMATED","OBSERVATIONAL","This observational study will address urinary disorders in subacute stroke patients.
