The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\nDoes positive sham neurofeedback lead to a decrease in relative EEG alpha power compared to a control condition without feedback?\n\nResearchers will compare the effects of positive and negative sham-neurofeedback conditions to a control condition without feedback to assess the system's impact on alpha rhythm modulation. Participants will:\n\nExperience three conditions (positive sham-neurofeedback, negative sham-neurofeedback, and no feedback) within a virtual reality environment.\n\nUndergo EEG recordings to measure changes in alpha power as a marker of attentional resource allocation.\n\nProvide written informed consent and complete the study following ethical guidelines.\n\nThis study seeks to explore the potential of open-loop feedback systems to enhance attentional control by modulating alpha rhythm.",[25,26,27],"Rumination","Chronic Pain","Fibromyalgia",[29,30,31,32,33],"operant conditioning","rumination","metacognition","neurofeedback","selective attention","RECRUITING","2025-09-22",{"date":37,"type":38},"2025-09-25","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":38},"2025-07-01",{"date":42,"type":21},"2025-11",{"name":44,"class":45},"National Council of Scientific and Technical Research, Argentina","OTHER_GOV",1,{"id":48,"slug":4,"hasResults":10,"nctId":49,"briefTitle":50,"officialTitle":51,"acronym":52,"eligibilityCriteria":53,"healthyVolunteers":10,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":54,"enrollmentInfo":55,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":57,"phases":58,"briefSummary":60,"conditions":61,"keywords":69,"overallStatus":72,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":73,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":74,"startDateStruct":76,"completionDateStruct":78,"leadSponsor":80,"locationsCount":4},"100448372","NCT05118594","Testing a Precision Psychotherapy System for Low-income Patients","Open-trial to Prospectively Test the Feasibility of a Precision Psychotherapy System for Low-income Patients","ML_LMIC","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Diagnoses of a depressive disorder (i.e., major depressive disorder or dysthymic disorder) or an anxiety disorder (i.e., specific phobia, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia or generalized anxiety disorder) determined with the Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI)\n* A score of at least two (mild) in any the five items from the depression and anxiety domains of the DSM-5 Self-Rated Level 1 Cross-Cutting Symptom Measure-Adult\n* A total family income below the poverty index threshold, determined by a Licensed Social Worker\n* Aged 18 to 65\n* Fluency in Spanish language\n* Capacity to consent\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Psychosis\n* Mania\n* Suicidal ideation with intent and\u002For plan\n* Substance abuse disorders\n* History of organic mental disease.","65 Years",{"count":56,"type":21},111,"INTERVENTIONAL",[59],"NA","The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of an evidence-based system to recommend core interventions, before the beginning of treatment, to psychotherapists treating low-income patients with depressive or anxiety disorders.",[62,63,64,65,66,67,68],"Major Depressive Disorder","Dysthymic Disorder","Specific Phobia","Social Anxiety Disorder","Panic Disorder","Agoraphobia","Generalized Anxiety Disorder",[70,71],"Depressive disorders","Anxiety disorders","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2021-11-11",{"date":75,"type":38},"2021-11-18",{"date":77,"type":21},"2026-02",{"date":79,"type":21},"2026-11",{"name":44,"class":45},""]
