Gastrointestinal endoscopy, a minimally invasive procedure, often causes discomfort and anxiety for patients. Remimazolam, a short-acting benzodiazepine, is increasingly used for sedation during these procedures due to its rapid onset, short metabolism, and controlled cardiorespiratory effects.
