Patient-Specific 3D Action Observation Training in Parkinson's Disease

Although studies exist demonstrating the effects of single-session action observation training on bradykinesia in patients with Parkinson's disease, research investigating the long-term application of such training remains limited. Furthermore, the broader literature indicates that action observation training has typically been conducted in simulated environments or by using recordings obtained from healthy individuals. The aim of the present study is to examine the effects of action observation training, delivered in a fully immersive virtual reality environment using each patient's own 3D motion recordings, on bradykinesia and other disease-related parameters.

Effect of a Virtual Reality Program on Patient Comfort in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit

Admission to a surgical intensive care unit (ICU) following major surgery is associated with a number of discomforts, not only related to the disease itself, but also to the care provided or the ICU environment itself (lights, sounds, pain, sleep deprivation, thirst...). This discomfort is real, and can be associated with psychological consequences. The investigators hypothesized that the use of immersive virtual reality (IVR) with HypnoVR® is feasible and can help reduce discomfort in intensive care.The ZION trial is a prospective, monocentric trial, randomizing 194 patients admitted in a surgical intensive care unit after a major surgery. The inclusion criterion are patients admitted in a surgical intensive care for at least 48 hours following major surgery (cardiac, thoracic or major abdominal surgery). Patients will be allocated to the intervention group (n=97) or the control group (n=97). In the intervention group, patients will receive IVR using HypnoVR®, twice a day, during the ICU stay (2 to 5 days). In the control group, postoperative care will be conducted according to standard cares without IVR. The primary endpoint will be the 18-items IPREA questionnaire on the day of ICU discharge. The secondary endpoints will include intensity of discomfort symptoms (anxiety, pain, dyspnea, thirst and sleep deprivation), incidence of delirium, cumulative morphine consumption at ICU discharge, length of ICU stay, and anxiety or depression at 1 month after discharge from intensive care and patient experience of device use.

Effect of Virtual Reality-Based Music Therapy on Cognitive and Motor Skills in Subacute Stroke Patients

This clinical trial aims to investigate the effects of immersive virtual reality-based music therapy on cognitive and motor functions in individuals aged 50 to 75 years with subacute stroke (between 2 weeks and 6 months post-stroke). Participants will be randomly assigned to either a control group receiving conventional physiotherapy or an experimental group receiving conventional physiotherapy plus virtual reality-based music therapy. The study will assess cognitive performance, upper extremity motor skills, stroke impact, balance, and spatial neglect before and after a 6-week intervention. All participants will be treated at Istanbul Aydın University VM Medical Park Hospital. The study has been approved by the ethics committee, and written informed consent will be obtained from all participants.

Immersive Virtual Reality Simulation-Effects of Self-Guided Versus Facilitator-Guided Debriefing

The goal of this clinical trial is to find out whether self-guided and facilitator-guided virtual reality (VR) simulations are equally effective in helping medical students learn how to manage and treat critically ill children. The study will also investigate how medical students feel about the two training methods and examine how many experience cybersickness. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does self-guided VR simulation work as well as facilitator-guided VR simulation in teaching medical students how to manage critically ill children? * How do medical students experience the ease of use, workload, reflection on learning, and motivation in each training method? * How many students experience cybersickness? To answer these questions, researchers will compare the two training methods to evaluate if self-guided VR simulation is an effective way to teach medical students how to manage critically ill children. Participants will: * Work through three VR cases to practice managing critically ill children in a safe environment. * Be tested before and after the VR simulation to assess changes in their skills managing critically ill children. * Complete surveys about their experience of the VR simulation, the training sessions, and any cybersickness symptoms they might have.
