Peer Support for Liver Transplant Recipients With History of ALD

Liver transplant (LT) recipients with a history of alcohol-related liver disease (ALD) may encounter various psychosocial and medical challenges during post-LT recovery, even beyond the initial post-transplant period. Effective and sustainable interventions will be crucial for improving patient outcomes. This clinical trial will examine the impact of peer support specialists (PSS) on the recovery experience of individuals who received LT for ALD. The trial seeks to answer two main questions: * Are LT recipients who work with PSS less likely to resume alcohol use or tend to drink less overall? * Do LT recipients who work with PSS engage more with recommended medical care and have better overall survival?

"Duration of Preoperative Clear Fluids Fasting in Patients Undergoing Liver Transplant"

The goal of this prospective observational study is to report the duration of preoperative clear fluids fasting in patients undergoing liver transplant. It will also learn about the relationship between the duration of preoperative clear fluids fasting and changes in hemodynamic variables and metabolic profile at various anesthesia and transplant phases. The main questions it aims to answer are: * How long liver recipient fast from clear fluids before liver transplant? * Is there any relationship between the duration of preoperative clear fluids fasting and changes in blood pressure and hear rate after the induction of anesthesia? * Is there any relationship between the duration of preoperative clear fluids fasting and blood glucose concentration, blood lactate concentration and acid base balance during anesthesia for liver transplant?

Intervention for Alcohol Use Disorder Recovery After Liver Transplantation

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if it is feasible and acceptable to use a recovery coach and an online sober active community to help with alcohol use disorder after liver transplant. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Is using a recovery coach after liver transplant to help with alcohol use recovery feasible and acceptable? * Is using an online sober active community after liver transplant to help with alcohol use recovery feasible and acceptable? Researchers will compare standard of care including a recovery coach alone to a recovery coach plus to assist with recovery from alcohol use recovery after liver transplant Participants will: * Work with a recovery coach including a weekly phone call * Visit the clinic once every 3 months for a checkup and to complete surveys * If randomized to the intervention arm, download an online application with access to a digital sober active community
