The hypothesis is:\n\n• lower-dose calcium replacement therapy is non-inferior to higher-dose therapy in preventing symptomatic hypoparathyroidism during the first two postoperative weeks\n\nResearchers will compare patients receiving a lower-dose calcium replacement regimen with those receiving a higher-dose regimen to assess whether the lower dose is not associated with a higher incidence of symptomatic hypoparathyroidism.\n\nPatients who develop post-thyroidectomy hypoparathyroidism are divided into groups for calcium replacement therapy. If they are asymptomatic, they will be scheduled for a follow-up visit at two weeks after surgery. During the follow-up visit, calcium metabolism will be evaluated, and treatment adjusted if necessary.",[25],"Post-Thyroidectomy Hypoparathyroidism Treatment",[27,28,29],"thyroidectomy","calcium replacement therapy","postoperative hypoparathyroidism","RECRUITING","2026-05-05",{"date":33,"type":34},"2026-05-11","ACTUAL",{"date":36,"type":34},"2025-11-18",{"date":38,"type":19},"2028-12",{"name":40,"class":41},"Tartu University Hospital","OTHER",2,""]
