The Impact of a Infant Sleep Hygiene Training Program on Infant Sleep Habits and Parental Self-Efficacy

This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a structured, Infant Sleep Hygiene Education Program initiated during pregnancy on infant sleep habits and parental self-efficacy related to infant sleep in the postpartum period. The program is grounded in developmental science and attachment-sensitive principles and focuses on promoting healthy sleep habits through responsive caregiving, consistent bedtime routines, and evidence-based sleep hygiene practices. Pregnant women will be randomly assigned to either an intervention group receiving a multi-session prenatal education program with postnatal follow-up support, or a control group receiving routine antenatal care. Primary outcomes include parental self-efficacy regarding infant sleep and infant sleep habits (e.g., night awakenings, sleep duration, sleep onset latency, and routine consistency), assessed at 1, 3, and 6 months postpartum. Secondary outcomes include adherence to recommended sleep-supportive parenting practices and infant sleep diary indicators. In addition, the mediating role of parental self-efficacy in the relationship between the intervention and infant sleep outcomes will be examined. Program evaluation outcomes will assess parental knowledge before and after the education, participation and adherence to the sessions, and parental satisfaction with the education program. This study aims to provide evidence for an ethical, developmentally appropriate, and preventive infant sleep education model integrated into routine prenatal care.

Nighttime Synchrony of Your Nutrition and Circadian Health

Sleep is an important factor for overall health. This study will see how different light exposure patterns and food intake impact a person's metabolism (how the body breaks down food) when sleeping is reduced. SleepUp Digital CBTi-based Platform for Insomnia

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for insomnia (CBTi) is a well-established therapeutic intervention for insomnia. SleepUp provides a digital therapeutics platform based on CBTi and additional features. This clinical trial aims at analyzing the efficacy of the CBTi-based platform offered by SleepUp in reducing symptoms of insomnia and will be conducted in 2 phases. Phase 1 The sample will be composed of 160 individuals, both males and females, from 20 to 60 years old, with insomnia symptoms considered as at least mild. Those who accept to participate will be randomized and distributed in four groups: * Standard CBTi (CBTi-S): This treatment consists of an eight-week treatment composed by weekly and structure appointments with board-certified sleep psychologists. The appointments will be made remotely (video calls with psychologists). * Minimal intervention - Sleep hygiene (MI-SH): This group will receive an educational program on sleep hygiene through the SleepUp app. Its content covers topics that are also covered in the online CBTi sessions. This procedure is more adequate as a control than the commonly used no treatment or waiting list controls, due to the behavioral * Online CBTI (CBTI-O): This group will receive access to an eight-weeks CBTi-based treatment through the SleepUp app. The participants of this group will receive interventions equivalent to the standard in-person CBTi, but provided through a digital platform. * Online CBTi + additional features (CBTi-O+): This group will have access to the complete premium version of SleepUp platform. It includes those presented in the CBTi-O group and other therapeutic and complementary features (including meditation audios and videos, mindfulness therapy, relaxation soundtracks, sleep hygiene tips, virtual assistant, and telehealth. All participants in all groups will be assessed periodically throughout the eight weeks of intervention with standard sleep questionnaires and sleep logs. Equivalent intervals will be applied to the MI-SH group. Phase 2 This phase will comprise 120 individuals, both males and females, from 20 to 60 years old, with insomnia symptoms considered as at least mild. Those who accept to participate will be randomized and distributed in three groups: * Minimal intervention - Sleep hygiene (MI-SH): This group will receive an educational program on sleep hygiene through the SleepUp app. Its content covers topics that are also covered in the online CBTi sessions. Impact of Sleep Duration on Immune Balance in Urban Children With Asthma

Urban children with asthma are at high risk for short sleep, due to an environment that jeopardizes both sleep and asthma management. Further, urban children with asthma suffer from altered immune balance, a key biological process contributing to individual differences in asthma morbidity and sleep health. In the proposed research, the researchers will examine the effects of shortened and recovery sleep on immune balance and associated changes in lung function in urban children with allergic asthma through an experimental design.

Sleep Hygiene in Undergraduate Students Studying in the Field of Health

This study looks at sleep hygiene-the daily habits and environment that help people sleep well-among 2nd-year students at the Health Services Vocational School of Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University (Türkiye). Many health sciences students have busy schedules, clinical practice, and exam stress, which may reduce sleep quality. Good sleep is important for learning, attention, mood, and overall health. Purpose: The aim is to assess the current sleep hygiene and quality of students, and determine whether a brief, in-person education program can enhance their knowledge, habits, and sleep quality in the upcoming weeks. Who can take part: The program is designed for daytime (normal education) 2nd-year students in programs such as Operating Room Services, Paramedic, Opticianry, Pharmacy Services, Medical Laboratory Techniques, Medical Documentation and Secretariat, and Child Development who volunteer and give written consent. Participation is voluntary, and you may leave the study at any time without any penalty. What will happen if you join: You will complete short forms before the education session to measure sleep habits and sleep quality (for example, bedtime, caffeine use, and screen time). You will attend four classroom sessions (each about 40 minutes). These sessions explain practical sleep tips (regular bed/wake times, reducing evening caffeine and screen time, preparing a quiet/dark room, simple relaxation after clinical shifts) and help you create a personal sleep plan. You will fill out the same forms again 2 weeks and 4 weeks after the education to see changes over time. What we measure: Sleep hygiene behaviors (how often helpful/unhelpful habits are used) Sleep quality refers to how restful sleep feels, the time it takes to fall asleep, the frequency of night awakenings, and overall daytime functioning. Knowledge about sleep hygiene (a short quiz) We will also look at factors like stress level, evening screen use, and caffeine intake. Possible benefits: You may learn practical ways to improve sleep, which can help with attention, mood, and daily performance. Possible risks/discomforts: This is an educational program. Risks are minimal (for example, brief discomfort when answering personal questions about sleep). You can skip any question you do not want to answer. Privacy: All information will be kept confidential and used only for research. Reports will not include names or identifying details. Costs and payment: There is no cost to taking part, and there is no payment for participation. Withdrawal: Participation is voluntary. You may stop at any time without affecting your courses or grades.

The Dream Team: Testing Implementation of a Sleep Intervention for Perinatal Women Delivered by Direct Care Workers

Insufficient and disrupted sleep are rarely addressed in expectant and new mothers, despite evidence that disturbed sleep is a modifiable risk factor for negative health outcomes for mothers and their children. In this study the investigators will adapt, refine, and pilot test the implementation of a behavioral sleep intervention consisting of short videos designed to accompany a free behavioral sleep app. In Phase 1, the investigators will develop and refine the intervention with input from direct care workers who serve at-risk perinatal women. In Phase 2, direct care workers will deploy the training to expectant mothers with sleep concerns and the investigators will assess the reach, effectiveness, adoption, implementation, and maintenance of this scalable, efficient intervention to improve sleep.

Effect of Sleep Extension on Ceramides in People with Overweight and Obesity

The overall goal is to determine how a sleep extension intervention (increasing time in bed) in individuals who maintain less than 6.5 hours sleep per night affects their plasma ceramides and insulin sensitivity. Modifying the Inpatient Environment to Reduce Delirium in Older Adults

The overall goal is to reduce the incidence and burden of delirium, as measured by the delirium burden index (DBI) among hospitalized older adults (≥70 years), by modifying the inpatient environment to decrease its sleep antagonism. The investigators propose to implement a multi-modal sleep hygiene (MMSH) bundle, an enhancement of a previously reported sleep-focused intervention which had 88 - 100% compliance for intervention components, and reduced ICU delirium by 50%.
